Generating innovative solutions in Automotive Lighting & Interior is one of our core competences. Many premium car manufacturers successfully use our applications. The portfolio includes solutions for headlamps, mirror signal lights, fog lights and control units (ISO 26262, ASIL) including software. In addition to Exterior Lighting, we also provide smart solutions for the interior.

Headlamps

Light modules of all shapes and types for headlamps form the central product portfolio elements in our Headlamps area. With our R&D specialists and our test center, we can develop innovative solutions based on individual customer requirements.

For every one of our solutions, we use suitable circuit board assemblies and VIA technologies, such as Pedestal. This has thermal advantages and can be applied in various front lamp applications (signal light, curve light, atmospheric light, high beam, low beam etc.).

Another application example is selective high beams, also called Pixel Lite. 21 LEDs are placed on the PCB and can be separately dimmed or switched off. This enables the selective switching of individual LED segments to avoid glare for incoming traffic.

Rear lamps and side marking lights

Our customers in the field of rear lamps and side marking lights are impressed by our operational excellence – as a competent manufacturing services provider with comprehensive industrialization, production and testing competence.

Lighting Control Units (LCU)

Control units in headlamps are the most recent addition to our Automotive Lighting & Interior business unit’s portfolio. With our long experience with ECUs (electronic control units) and our demonstrated concepts in the field, this was a logical expansion of the Melecs business model. Applications include a complete control module to control all light function in a full-LED headlamp. In addition to the complete control electronics for 5 light functions (LB/HB, signal light/DRL & position light, turn indicator, cornering light), this LCU also includes the complete logic/intelligence as well as a CAN bus system.

Seat electronics

Customers in the field of Seat Electronics are impressed by our operational excellence – as a competent manufacturing services provider with comprehensive industrialization, production and testing competence. Applications include seat management systems.
